FORT WORTH, TX - BNSF Railway Company says thank you to the nation's truck drivers this week by hosting events at its intermodal facilities in Fort Worth, Texas; Chicago and Willow Springs, Ill.; and San Bernardino and Los Angeles, Calif., in celebration of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week."Each year BNSF celebrates its partnership with trucking companies by showing the railway's appreciation for their drivers," says George Duggan, BNSF vice president, Domestic Intermodal. "Trucks and trains are the backbone of a transportation system designed to ensure the products American consumers use daily are delivered safely and efficiently. By working together, we are providing transportation solutions for companies across the nation."
Truck drivers entering the above mentioned facilities will be provided refreshments and gifts passed out by BNSF's truckload sales team as part of BNSF's Together We Deliver Value campaign. In addition, BNSF is sending celebration kits to many of its carrier customers, including J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc.; Schneider National, Inc.; U.S. Xpress; Transport America; Werner Enterprises Inc.; Yellow Roadway, Corp.; and Swift Transportation Company.
