LIVONIA, Mich.- Container and Pooling Solutions (CAPS) (www.usecaps.com), announced its official name change today. After 10 years as Container and Pallet Services, the company made the shift to better align itself with the products and solutions it provides. The new name brings with it a renewed focus on the importance of greening customers’ supply chains while reducing overall costs.

Since its inception in 1998, CAPS has been recognized by the diverse industries it serves as North America’s leading provider of container management solutions, and experienced an unprecedented 73% growth over the past three years. The company’s services, including reusable container rental, tracking, cleaning and repair, provide it’s food, beverage, automotive and general manufacturing clients with an environmentally friendly, cost-effective alternative to purchasing containers.

“We’re in the right place at the right time with the convergence of two key industry trends. First, the paramount need to optimize supply chain costs and second, increasing requirements to go green. A combination of these factors has allowed us to make significant strides forward while being able to continually support the companies we serve in this distressed market,” said Robert Wiedmaier, CAPS CEO.

Corporations nationwide are increasingly facing requirements to implement greening strategies and reduce their carbon footprints. Achieving this, while managing costs and maintaining overall productivity can prove challenging.

“Our growth over the past 10 years is a direct result of our commitment to continually invest in the people, processes and technology necessary to accommodate the ever-changing requirements of our customer base. CAPS’ rental services allow our customers to immediately take advantage of the latest packaging trends, while avoiding the use of precious capital. Our stability and longevity have made us a clear choice,” said Drew Merrill, CAPS VP Business Development.
