Bombardier’s advanced rapid transit cars for

Project supports system expansion and two-fold capacity increase on Kelana Jaya Line in Kuala Lumpur
BERLIN, GERMANY - Bombardier Transportation and local partner Hartasuma Sdn Bhd have signed a contract with Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad (Prasarana) to upgrade wayside electrical and mechanical (E&M) systems on the Kelana Jaya Line in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Total value of the contract is approximately 87 million Euros ($119 million US). Bombardier's share is approximately 60 million Euros ($81 million US). The E&M project is scheduled for completion in late spring 2009. |

MAROUSSI, GREECE and ATHENS, GREECE - Euroseas Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESEA), an owner and operator of drybulk carriers, container ship and multipurpose vessels and provider of seaborne transportation for dry bulk and containerized cargoes, announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Agreement to purchase the M/V Tiger Bridge (ex City of Hamburg), an intermediate container ship of 30,400 dwt and 2,228 twenty-foot equivalent units (teu) built in 1990 in Korea. The M/V Tiger Bridge was acquired for approximately $24.0 million and comes with a period charter attached until July 2009 at a rate of $16,500 per day. |

A union-backed effort to halt a program to give U.S. truck drivers access into Mexico and allow a limited number of Mexican trucks to operate long-haul routes within the United States lacks merit according to documents filed with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit today. The documents were filed on behalf of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration in response to an emergency stay request filed by the Teamsters and other groups on August 29, 2007. |

Trade using surface transportation between the United States and its North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) partners Canada and Mexico was 3.9 percent higher in June 2007 than in June 2006, reaching $69.5 billion, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
BTS, a part of the Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA), reported that the value of U.S. surface transportation trade with Canada and Mexico rose 0.1 percent in June from May. Month-to-month changes can be affected by seasonal variations and other factors. |
