Maersk Line Will Increase Rates on the Northbound Trade from the East Coast South America to Europe

E-mail Print PDF
January 4, 2007 - Rate increase on East Coast of South America to Europe trade - The increase will apply for all dry cargo under Maersk Line tariffs and service contracts as agreed with our customers individually.

The level of increase will be minimum USD 200 per TEU and will be effective from 1 February 2007.

The above increase is a consequence of the rate erosions we experienced in 2006. We intend to restore the rates to a level where we can address cost increases and continue to offer our customers reliable and dedicated services in the East Coast of South America to Europe trade.
